Dave Hinkle played professional basketball overseas for 11 years. While most of his career was in Mexico, he played all over the world from Germany to Taiwan to Bolivia.

Dave didn’t even start playing basketball until late in high school when he hit a growth spurt. Before that he played soccer and baseball. He attended University of San Francisco and wound up playing basketball on their club team. On the podcast, Dave jokes that he learned how to play basketball while in college. And at 6 foot 8, he found some success. A chance encounter with a coach who offered an opportunity to play pro basketball overseas changed everything.
