Nils Parker (@nilsparker) can’t even count how many books he’s ghostwritten. I asked him and he estimated between 15 and 20. His books have been NYT and WSJ bestsellers many times over. As an editor he has worked with authors like Ryan Holiday, Tucker Max, and James Altucher (and many more) on every aspect of their books.

Nils was originally supposed to be a lawyer. But after a semester of law school and a summer position, he decided that the courtroom was not his true calling. His whole life trajectory changed when he stumbled across a forum created by Tucker Max, who would go on to become a multiple-time NYT bestselling author. That meeting launched him down a path that would change the course of his life forever.

Nils is not only whip smart, but he’s hilarious. And he has been on the front lines of so many ideas over the last twenty years. From early Internet forums and blogging, to podcasting and new world of publishing. He has so much insight that I was really excited to pick his brain about his life story and experiences.

He just finished writing a book with mega radio personality Guy Raz called How I Built This: The Unexpected Paths to Success from the World’s Most Inspiring Entrepreneurs.

Keep your eye out for his next book: Stuff You Should Know: An Incomplete Compendium of Mostly Interesting Things.
