Listen on:

Joe Williamson (@growrestling) was one of the first employees of FloWrestling, a company which went on to become a megalith not only in wrestling but in many sports. But this episode is about so much more than that. Joe tells how he first met FloWrestling founder Martin Floreani in a cafe in Missouri. He missed being best man at his friend’s wedding to go on his first assignment for FloWrestling, the NCAA tournament. He had never filmed anything or done interviews and suddenly he was thrust into the mix of interviewing wrestlers on the floor of the NCAAs.

His career was anything but normal and he recounts stories of sleeping on couches or in cars for weeks on end as he was off producing content. In the end, he traveled the world covering wrestling and wound up meeting his wife.

This was definitely one of my favorite episodes to record and Joe’s story is amazing!
